Pyralume
Marketing Website
Pyralume is a web application that allows users to create, share, and discover independent films. The platform provides a space for filmmakers to showcase their work, connect with audiences, and gain recognition within the film industry. It is a supportive storytelling community built on a dynamic social streaming platform.
Problem
Major brands and competitors often fail to properly value and highlight their audiences. Pyralume needed a dedicated marketing website to introduce the platform and communicate its purpose.
Goal
Create a marketing website that highlights the indie film streaming platform while bridging the gap between independent filmmakers and global audiences.
Approach
Focused on creating a website that showcases Pyralume's key features. Designed an accessible and visually engaging interface that appeals to both filmmakers and film enthusiasts.
Result
Delivered a responsive website with 6–8 main pages, including interactive elements and animations requested by the client.
I received this project during my final semester of college for an applied research course. I was the team lead of a group of five. We conducted weekly meetings with the client and multiple team meetings to maintain consistency and ensure project success.
The client requested a marketing website for an app focused on independent filmmakers. I needed to consider the different target audiences of the platform and create an experience that connected filmmakers with global audiences.
The branding, style guide, and mood board were provided by the client. The team was asked to follow the established aesthetic, which focused on a dark theme with red accent colors.

Focused on the dark theme and neon-pop aesthetic requested by the client, while keeping red as the main accent color for buttons and interactive elements. Accessibility was considered throughout the process, especially regarding WCAG contrast requirements due to the dark background.
